Vanessa Dell Davis, affectionately known to many as “Snake”, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, at the age of 72. She was born on December 15. 1953 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Vanessa was a loving mother, sister, family member, and friend whose presence brought strength, laughter, and love to those fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her unique spirit, her resilience, and the deep love she had for her family. Not to mention her cold two-piece.

She was born to the late Willie Davis and Merial Scott. Vanessa was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Toni Davis, and her brother Chester Scott.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved children: Shaun Guldin, Shawndra Williams, Ikisha Davis, Marquesha Brown, Anthony Davis, and Jay Dee Davis. Vanessa is also survived by her loving siblings: Jennie Eden, Beverly Mayfield, Brenda Davis, Cynthia Jones, Sharon Renee Jones, all of Phoenix, AZ; Kathy Adams of Battle Creek, MI; Michael Jones and Willie Jones of Phoenix, AZ; and Latetha Hudson of San Bernardo, CA; along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her.

Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her love, wisdom, and the impact she made on the lives of those around her will never be forgotten. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
