Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Raymond “Ray” Murillo Lopez, 65 of Phoenix, Arizona was called home to be with his mother, Elvira Murillo Lopez on December 17, 2020. He was born December 6, 1955 in Blythe, CA and moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1964. He attended Grant Elementary School and was raised in the Grant Park neighborhood. He worked in his early years for the City of Phoenix, McGraw-Edison, Phoenix Cooler/Arvin Industries and ended his career at Johnsons Worldwide Moving. He is survived by his wife Janie Lopez, whom he was married to for 47 years and was the loving father to his son Ray Lopez Jr, his daughters Ramona Martinez (Jaime Martinez), Dolores Lopez (Marc Pena), and Lisa Lopez (Dannii Reyes). He had four Brothers, Chuco, Mosca, Mike, Jesus and six sisters, Jenny, Angie, Sylvia, Marylou, Yolanda and Stella. He left a beautiful Legacy of 11 grandchildren, Corrina, Ray III, Jay, Joseph, Daniel, Juan, Eric, Marc Jr, Reyna, Marcos, Adam and 14 great-grandchildren. Ray was a Family man, a jokester at all times no matter what he was faced with. He loved listening to music, oldies but goodies, Mexican, and Country music. He loved spending time with his children and all his grandchildren. He made sure he had his Levi’s creased up and White Chuck Taylors on while cruising in his 64’ Chevy Pickup. His legacy will live on through his loving family and all those that were Blessed to know him.
There will be a walk through visitation open to the public Saturday, December 26, 2020 from 8am to 9:45am. Everyone that attends the walk through visitation must exit the church and parking lot of the church promptly after viewing. NO GATHERING IN CHURCH PARKING LOT WILL BE ALLOWED!!!
Due to the Covid-19/Corona Virus Pandemic, the family has chosen a private Funeral Service for 50 attendees by invitation only on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 10 am. (Please note that current social distancing guidelines will be strictly enforced/FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO BE WORN DURING ALL SERVICES.)
