Otis Lee Sueing Jr. was born on October 16, 1977, in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was raised. On June 19, 2026, he departed this earthly life, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, faith, resilience, and unwavering devotion to his family.
Born to Lucy Lindsey and Otis Lee Sueing Sr., Otis was a man whose life was defined not only by his accomplishments but also by the countless lives he touched through his kindness, wisdom, humor, and encouragement. He believed that no matter what life placed before you, there was always another mountain to climb and another goal to reach.
Education was important to Otis, and he proved that it is never too late to pursue your dreams. After high school, he continued his education at Glendale Community College and the University of Phoenix. He went on to achieve one of his proudest accomplishments by graduating with the Class of 2025 from Rio Salado Community College. His dedication to learning led him to a successful career as a medical billing and coding professional, where he worked for multiple companies and earned the respect of those around him through his strong work ethic and commitment.
Above all else, Otis was a devoted father. His greatest joy was watching his children grow into resilient individuals despite life's many challenges. He leaves behind his beloved children: Otis Lee Sueing III, Pashonique Sueing, Ojzhia Sueing, Serenity Sueing, Zakkai Hull, Ojayvion Sueing, Eternity Sueing, and Lizea Sueing. He was also a proud grandfather to Caiza Ronning, Troy Roberson, and Armani Cheers, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to his life.
Otis is also survived by his loving mother, Lucy Lindsey; his cherished grandmother, Helen Lindsey; his brothers, Justice Sueing and Otis Sueing; his sisters, Jue Lindsey, Freedom Sueing, Pashan Sueing, Tammy Fletcher, Sharanique Daigre, Ju Reese Mills, and Inez Sueing; along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Lee Sueing Sr.; his grandfathers, Virgil Lindsey Sr. and Mack Sueing; his grandmother, Ocmae Sueing; his aunt, Virgie Lindsey; his uncles, Howard Sueing, Louis Sueing, James Sueing, and Thomas Lindsey; and his cousin, Loretta Lindsey. While their absence was deeply felt throughout his life, his family finds comfort in knowing they have now been reunited in eternal peace.
Music was the heartbeat of Otis's soul. Whether creating his own music or listening to his favorite artists, Tupac Shakur and Nipsey Hussle, music was how he expressed himself and connected with others. One phrase he often repeated was, "The Marathon Continues." To him, it was more than a slogan—it was a way of life. He believed that a person's purpose, legacy, and the love they leave behind continue long after they are gone.
His faith in God was the foundation of his life. No matter the circumstance, Otis constantly reminded those around him to thank God for every blessing, big or small. His gratitude and steadfast trust in God inspired everyone fortunate enough to know him. Those who knew Otis will forever remember his infectious laughter, his playful personality, and his ability to brighten any room with a joke or a smile. He had a gift for making ordinary moments unforgettable. His children will always remember the silly songs he sang during the summers, especially his signature tune: "Cereal and milk, cake and ice cream—that's all I really want to eat." Moments like these perfectly captured his joyful spirit and the happiness he brought into the lives of those he loved.
Otis was fiercely protective of his family and deeply invested in the lives of his children. He worked tirelessly to keep them focused, encouraged them to stay in school, and reminded them that they were capable of overcoming any obstacle. Even after goals were achieved, he believed there was always another dream to pursue and another level to reach. He taught his family that perseverance was not just about surviving it was about continuing to grow, striving for excellence, and never settling for less.
Although his physical presence is no longer with us, the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, the music he loved, and the faith by which he lived will continue through every person whose life he touched. His legacy lives on in his children, - his grandchildren, his family, and all those who were blessed to know him.
Otis Lee Sueing Jr. will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
