In Loving Memory of
Melissa Ornelas
Sunrise: October 15, 1984 — | Sunset: September 15, 2025
With hearts both tender and steadfast, we share the news that our beloved Melissa Ornelas went home to be with the Lord on September 15, 2025. While her time on this earth was far too brief, her life was rich with meaning, overflowing with love, laughter, and the light of Christ that shone through her every word and action.
Melissa was a radiant soul whose presence could brighten even the heaviest of days. She carried music in her heart and joy in her spirit, offering encouragement and compassion wherever she went. Whether she was singing along to her favorite worship songs, sharing quiet moments of prayer, or laughing with friends and family, Melissa lived with an open heart that welcomed everyone in. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life—a faith that was vibrant, unwavering, and deeply inspiring to all who knew her.
Melissa had an extraordinary way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved. She possessed a quiet strength wrapped in gentleness, a kindness that spoke louder than words, and a playful sense of humor that could lift spirits in an instant. She poured her heart into every relationship, often going out of her way to help others and to remind them of their worth. Her creativity, her contagious laughter, and her ability to find beauty in small, ordinary moments left an imprint on countless lives.
She is lovingly survived by her cherished daughter, Nadia Pruitt; her devoted mother, Kathy Ornelas; her father, Robert Romero; and her siblings, Michael Ornelas, Sara Levesque, Johnny Ornelas, Richard Romero, Andrea Torres, Robert Romero, and Maggie Romero. She also leaves behind her treasured nephews and precious nieces, along with a wide circle of cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Though our hearts ache at her sudden departure, we take comfort in knowing that she now dances in eternal light, embraced by the Savior she so dearly loved. Her spirit will continue to guide us, her laughter will echo in our memories, and her love will remain the thread that binds us together.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18
