Lillian Ann Butler (Lee), affectionately known as “Nana”, was born on July 26, 1958. She peacefully transitioned on January 10, 2026. As a lifelong resident of Phoenix, Arizona. She attended Dunbar, Lowell, and Phoenix Union High Schools. She also attended Lamson Business College. Lee was deeply rooted in her community and devoted herself to her family.
She was the loving and devoted mother of three children: Rose Marie Craig, Robert Robertson, and Demetrius L. Robertson. Nana’s greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren.
Nana was a woman of ambition, strength, and resilience. She faced life head-on with courage and determination, never allowing challenges to define her. She was full of life, love, and laughter, and her presence brought warmth and joy to everyone around her. Her love for her grandchildren was unmatched, and her legacy will live on through them.
She is preceded in death by her son, Robert Robertson Jr.; granddaughter, Andreah Robertson; her father, Willie Davis Craig Sr.; mother, Willie Lee Craig; and her brother, Willie Davis Craig Jr. Though she is no longer physically present, her spirit, wisdom, and love will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Nana leaves to cherish her memory, her longtime companion, Wilford Adams, her daughters, Rose Marie Craig “Carl Pierson” (Shrimpy) and Demetrius L. Robertson, 4 sisters, Jeannette Craig, JoAnn Satterwhite (Drummage), Lisa Maxie (Bill) and Selena Scott (Olden), 4 brothers, Michael Craig (Ashley), Larry Craig (Michelle), Edward Craig and James Craig (Twila). Her 8 grandchildren: Javone Craig, Shardai Craig, Kevmisha Carrethers (Jack), Jerry Pondexter, De’Finest Craig, Carla Pierson, Davorio Hampton, along with a dozen beloved great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews who meant the world to her.
