Lillian Littlejohn

Lillian Littlejohn was born on October 14, 1951, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Sadie Hagler and was later adopted by James M. Littlejohn. She spent much of her childhood with her grandparents, Minor and Jessie Hagler.

Lillian attended Grant Elementary School, Lowell Elementary School, and Phoenix Union High School. She continued her education at South Mountain Community College, where she was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She later attended Mesa Community College's Mortuary Science Program, graduating in 2015 and receiving Tau Chapter–Sigma Phi Sigma membership.

With the support and encouragement of Ron Thornson, Lillian became licensed as a Funeral Director, Embalmer, and Cremationist.

Throughout her career, Lillian served her community through her work at Good Samaritan Hospital for 15 years, Genesis Imaging Center for 7 years, Scottsdale Cardiovascular Center for 10 years, and Peace Chapel Funeral Home for 11 years.

Lillian enjoyed fishing, crocheting, dancing, singing, and spending time at karaoke clubs.

Lillian was preceded in death by her daughter, Shauntrece La Ruth Demery; her mother, Sadie Lillian Clisby; her grandparents, Minor and Jessie Hagler; her uncles, Harry, Jesse, and Wilbur Hagler; her aunts, Dorothy Stubblefield and Ruth Brooks; her brothers, Paul Littlejohn, Kenneth Hillman, Wade Hillman, Anthony Hillman, George Hillman, and Lawrence Hillman Sr.; her sister, Jacqueline Burks; Jacqueline's husband, Bob Burks, and their son, Khalil Burks; her second mother, Viola K. Demery; and her husband of 12 years and lifelong friend, Larry Torres.

Lillian leaves to cherish her memory her brothers, Bill Littlejohn, Gale Hillman Sr., David Hillman Jr., Michael Hillman Sr., and Stephen Hillman; her sister, Sharon Cromwell; her cousin, Felicia Meshack; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, relatives, and friends.

Lillian's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
