Jervarious Tyler, affectionately known as Yaya, was born on November 22, 2007, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, to Jervae and Kimberly Tyler. From the very beginning, he brought joy to everyone around him. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain in our hearts forever.

At a young age, Yaya accepted Christ, a decision that became an important part of his life and the foundation of the values he carried throughout his journey.

Yaya spent his early years living in Minnesota and Illinois before later moving to Arizona, where he built lasting friendships, created cherished memories, and touched countless lives with his kindness and genuine spirit.

Yaya had a personality that could light up any room. He was funny, loyal, ambitious, and the life of the party. His laugh was contagious, his energy was unforgettable, and he had a special way of making everyone around him feel welcome and valued.

A standout AAU basketball player with team legacy, Yaya was known for his talents and especially his dreams of making it in the music industry, his leadership, discipline, and determination. Whatever he set his mind to, he pursued with confidence and heart.

At only 18 years old, Yaya had already overcome challenges that would have stopped many others. He faced adversity with courage and resilience, never allowing it to define who he was.

One of Yaya’s proudest accomplishments was graduating from high school. It was a milestone that reflected his dedication and his desire to make his parents proud.

Family meant everything to Yaya. He was always there for the people he loved, especially his siblings. He was more than a brother. He was their protector. He thought he was in charge of the whole house.

Yaya’s legacy will live on through every life he touched, every laugh he shared, and every act of love and kindness he gave so freely. He will always be remembered for his strength, compassion, determination, and unwavering love for his family and friends.

Yaya was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Rosemary Williams; his grandfather, Emmanuel Younkins; his great-grandparents; and his uncle, Ronnie Williams.

Yaya leaves to cherish his memory by his loving parents, Jervae and Kimberly Tyler; his beloved grandmother, Evelyn Tyler; his devoted brothers, Jayshon and Jervae Junior; his precious little sister, De’Niyah; his only aunt, Rosie Williams; his great-aunts, Brenda Carson, Sharon Hollinsworth, Bertina Rice, and Shirley Tyler; his great-uncles Roy Carson , Robert Earl Tyler, and Illya Tyler and his beloved nephew, Mason Conway; and a host of loving cousins, family, and friends.
