Javanna Yvette O'Neal Obituary

Direct Cremation.

With deep love and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Javanna Yvette O'Neal, age 26, who departed this life on February 10, 2026. A cherished daughter, sister and friend to many. She was born on September 29,1999 in Richmond, Virginia.

Javanna was raised in Arizona, where her vibrant spirit and determination were evident from an early age. She was a proud graduate of Chandler Hamilton High School, Class of 2018. Throughout her childhood and teen years, Javanna embraced life with enthusiasm and courage. She participated in dance, soccer, and basketball. Her talent and dedication in competitive dance earned her numerous awards and recognition. As she grew older she shifted her focus toward competitive sports, continuing to demonstrate teamwork and heart.

Javanna was known for being caring, adventurous, and endlessly curious. She was an independent thinker who walked confidently on her own path. Her compassion and thoughtful nature extended to everyone, and she had a remarkable ability to bring comfort with her infectious laughter to those around her. Javanna loved her family dogs, cooking for family and listening to music. She could make anyone smile, even on difficult days.

Professionally, Javanna worked in the quick food service, hospitality and legal businesses, where her professionalism and strong work ethic stood out to her coworkers. She also served for two years as a home health aide for a family in Scottsdale, a role that reflected her compassionate spirit and genuine desire to care for others. As a church volunteer Javanna loved working with kids in her role within the children’s church.

Javanna leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Gregory and Alana O'Neal of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Vaughn O'Neal of Bradenton, Florida; maternal grandmother, L. Yvonne Alsup of St. Petersburg, Florida; and paternal grandmother, Jacqueline J. O'Neal of Lima, Ohio.

She is also survived by her Aunts Tammee (Stevie) Gayman, Denise Richardson, Monica O’Neal and Paula (Warren) Gwinn; Uncles Homer O'Neal Jr., Jerome (Sheri) O'Neal and Timothy (Kissha) O'Neal. Javanna also shared special bonds with her numerous cousins, although a distance away when together brought her great joy throughout her life.

Javanna was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Alan R. Alsup; paternal grandfather Homer L. O’Neal Sr. and Uncle Ronald G. O'Neal.

Though her time with us was far too brief. Javanna’s family will remember her laughter, her faith in people, and her ability to make everyone feel seen and valued. Her beautiful smile, determined spirit, and compassionate soul will never be forgotten.

A Going Home Celebration will be held at a future date and time where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers donations in Javanna’s memory may be made to the Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation.

Her love and laughter will stay in our hearts forever.
