Jakiba Sharee Haywood Obituary

Please see scheduled service date and times below.

Jakiba Sharee Haywood, affectionately known as “Ree,” was born on February 7, 1993, in Phoenix, Arizona, to her loving mother, Danita Haywood.

At an early age, Jakiba accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at Camelback Community Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life.

Jakiba obtained her high school diploma from Westview High School. She later answered the call to serve her country and was inducted into the United States Army, demonstrating her courage, discipline, and commitment to service.

A lifelong learner with a passion for excellence, Sharee earned her Associate Degree from Phoenix College. She continued her academic journey at Brookline College, where she graduated with honors, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. At the time of her passing, she was a graduate honor student student at Walden University, also with honors, preparing to graduate with her Master of Science in Nursing to become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. At the time of her passing, Sharee was a graduate student at Walden University, also with honors, preparing to earn her Master of Science in Nursing to become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Because of her academic excellence and dedication to the nursing profession, Sharee was inducted into the prestigious Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Her passion for mental health and serving families extended beyond the classroom. Just prior to her passing, she proudly established her own LLC for a family mental health group home, HeyDee3, as part of building a lasting family business dedicated to caring for others in need.

Jakiba enjoyed being a foodie, reading books, cooking, and spending cherished time with her nieces and nephews. She loved watching TV series, especially South Central Baddies. Known as the “mom of the family,” she naturally nurtured, guided, and cared for everyone around her.

Jakiba was preceded in death by her Aunt Roslin, Aunt Dorothy, Aunt Ruthie, Grandpa Abdul, Cousin Candice and her special brother, Cory.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her devoted mother, Danita Haywood; siblings Tracy Haywood, JD McBeth (Juanita), and Semajeon Haywood; grandmother Mary Haywood; Aunt Janet Haywood; nephews Cory Carr and Malaki McBeth; nieces Kaylee McBeth, Sanai McBeth, Alaya McBeth, and Royal Mitchell; along with a host of cousins, special friends, and all who loved her dearly.

Jakiba’s life was one of faith, service, intelligence, laughter, and love. Her legacy of strength, achievement, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
