With heavy hearts full of sadness, the family of Gloria Chavez-Valdez announces her
peaceful passing in the early morning hours on July 22, 2026, at the age of 77 in the
comfort of her home. Born on January 10, 1949, in Douglas, Arizona to Sostenes and
Henriquetta Rojas, she was raised in a home full of love with God at their center. She
lived her life with God as her center and was a beacon of light that will continue to shine
brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.

Gloria was preceded in death by her cherished parents, 4 brothers, first husband Benny
Sr. and their 1-month twin baby boy Benny. She also lost her 2nd husband Jesus Sr.
and their son Jesus and a great-grandbaby girl, named Aniyah.

Despite these profound losses, Gloria remained strong and determined. She was a
devoted mother to her six surviving children: Anna, Danny, Gloria, Joseph, Cynthia, and
Jessica, each of whom she loved unconditionally with patience and sternness when
needed. She was blessed with 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, who
were the light of her life. Affectionately known as "The Pillar," of the family providing
care, love, and wisdom with unwavering dedication to keep the family united. In
addition, she also leaves behind her sister, Maria, and brother, Jesus, unknown if still
living. Gloria's legacy of love will be carried forward through her family.

Gloria was always there for others, working tirelessly to ensure the well-being of not
only her family but anyone that needed help. She was known for her upbeat spirit. She
loved dancing, particularly her love for cumbias. Even as health challenges arose, she
found happiness in going to the casino for bingo, slot machines and the lively
atmosphere. She was known for her spirit of kindness, always greeting with a smile and
kind words.

Although Gloria will no longer be here in sight, she is in our hearts and just a memory
away. She will be missed and always remembered!

Rest in peace, dear Gloria, knowing that your love and light will forever guide us.
