Gaston "Rick" H Ramirez, Jr.
Gaston "Rick" H Ramirez, Jr. was a remarkable individual whose life was marked by dedication, hard work, and a profound love for his family and community. He graduated in 1971 from East High School and joined the Army in 1972, where he served honorably until his discharge in 1975. Following his military service, Rick attended Gateway Community College in Phoenix, AZ, for two years.
For over two decades, Rick was a revered figure in the trucking industry. He owned and operated his own truck, navigating the roads of Arizona, New Mexico, and California. His career later took him across the country and into Canada, working for various trucking companies over 22 years. Beyond his professional endeavors, in his personal life rick enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and loved watching his old western movies. He was a skilled craftsman who built onto his home and spent hours working on his cherished 1965 El Camino.
Rick was well-known for his generosity and willingness to help others. At campsites, he was affectionately called the "go-to man" for parts, always ready to lend a hand to those in need.
Rick is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Margaret, and their son Ricky. He leaves behind six beloved grandchildren, his mother June, and siblings Tony, Brenda, Regina, and Alex.
A funeral service will take place on March 21 at 9:30 AM at the National VA Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ.
Rick's legacy of kindness, hard work, and dedication to his family and community will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever remembered and cherished.
May he rest in peace.
