Christopher Irving Martin was born December 2, 1974, to Nancy Marie Tyson and Jasper Martin. He passed on April 25th, 2026.
The youngest of five children, the baby boy, born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He grew up in a small house on 13th Ave. and Sherman (the Westside). Chris attended Bethune Elementary School, where he became a lifelong friend and brother to Gary Ross “G-Wayne”, Tyrese “Ty Sticc”, Darius Spottsville, Mark Brown, Durousher Hutchinson, and Brad Gray. It was the Westside City that molded Chris, better known as Cee-Smoove, into the man he became. Tough as nails, sweet as candy, a prankster, a ladies' man and loyal friend are just a few words to describe him.
A protector and lover to Jackie McNair, he loved passionately, and unconditionally. A father of 4 children, Elijah “Huggie Bear”, Jalin “J-Booge”, Christopher “Lil Daddy”, and Karissa “BG”. Cee-Smoove encouraged these young adults to be themselves at all costs. To taste test what momma was cooking, to make sure there’s no poison. Schooling them on hip hop music is what was crackalackin and brought a smile to his face (like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich). Skippy Smooth peanut butter “Yeppers”.
Cee-Smoove is preceded in death by his father, mother, brother “MJ” and best friend/cousin “J-Macc”. He leaves behind sisters, Wanda, Jennifer “Jen”, Romella, and Andra “Orangie”, his children, aunties, uncles, nieces, and nephews whom he loved very much and will miss him beyond words.
