Bruce Harold Tarbox passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025 at age 84 in the care of Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, Arizona. Born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Harold and Charlotte (Countway) Tarbox. Raised and educated in Quincy, MA, Bruce was a graduate of Quincy High School, a veteran of the United States Army, and an award-winning computer engineer at Honeywell Information Systems. During his distinguished career, he was named as an inventor on 11 U.S. patents, contributing to breakthroughs in technology that became foundational in large-scale data systems. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Ann Tarbox; his daughter, Christina Barrueta, and son-in-law, Ernesto Barrueta, of Phoenix; and his son, Craig Tarbox, and daughter-in-law, Lisa Tarbox, of Wilton, New Hampshire. In accordance with his wishes for privacy, no services will be held.
