Ricky Lee Jones

OBITUARY

RICKY LEE JONES was born August 22,1966 in Phoenix Arizona. He was the eldest child of Beverly Horton (Deceased) and Ollie Jones Jr (Deceased). He was lovingly raised by his mother Beverly and his Stepfather Henry Horton Sr with his siblings.

As a child he joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church with his family and served in the choir and many other organizations. His love for music continued throughout his adult life. In May 2016 he joined Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he continued to serve and praise the Lord under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Roy Lee Fitzpatrick. He was a dedicated member of the choir and accompanied the pastor to minister in music and song throughout the valley.

Ricky graduated from Central High School and he was member of the Soul and Jazz band. He continued sharing his musical talents at various venues around the valley. 

He spent his adult career in the sales industry spending many years traveling the country as supervisor and trainer in magazine sales. He reviewed many awards and acknowledgments throughout his career.

He was adored by many family and friends and was lovingly called “Cousin”.

He leaves to cherish his memory; His brother Henry Horton Jr

(Marvonna Whitmore Sister in law) and Sister Eva Horton; His stepfather Henry Horton Sr; Kashae Horton (Niece), Nyjelle Horton (Niece) China Whitmore (Niece); Dennis James (Nephew), Dennasia James (Niece), Derrick James (Nephew) Chezmiere Fanning (Niece) and Zion Hollie Great Nephew. He also leaves to cherish his memory is his Aunt Billie Jean Fitzpatrick and a host of relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
